Replace the expensive and hard to find 27S13 BPROM with a reprogrammable 2716 EPROM.
Remove the bprom from the holder and attach a piece of Veroboard with a prom socket installed. Make the wire connections according to the diagram.

Formula for calculating the working range for X-tals

Lowest RX-freq in MHz = (X-tal freq * factor) + IF + 1.25
Highest RX-freq in MHz = (X-tal freq * factor) + IF + 5.25

Lowest TX-freq in MHz = (X-tal freq * factor) + 1.25
Highest TX-freq in MHz = (X-tal freq * factor) + 5.25

Programming Code card for F600

Code card RR-188649

********************************

Code card RR-185070

Formula for calculating division numbers for code cards F600 and C600 OPENCOM

D = fFG  -  fx        for 80 MHz
         0.025

D = fFG  - 2*fx      for 160 MHz
         0.025

D = fFG  -  6*fx      for 450 MHz
         0.025

fFG = freq. from the freq. generator
fx = freq. generator X-tal

The division number is converted to binary number, and  coded on
the code card. A diod represents an "1".

*******************************************************************************************************************
                                        80 MHz
 Working freq. 79.0375 MHz and Tx X-tal 76.0375 / Rx X-tal 65.3375 MHz

Dtx = 79.0375 - 76.0375   = 120
                   0.025

Drx = 79.0375 - 10.7 - 65.3375   = 120
                                 0.025

Dec 120 = Binary: 01111000

*******************************************************************************************************************
With FMO:

Working freq. 79.0375 MHz and Rx/Tx-Xtal 64.0125 MHz  (FMO uses only one Xtal for Rx/Tx)

Dtx = 79.0375 - 10.7 - 64.0125  = 173
                               0.025

Drx = 79.0375 - 10.7 - 64.0125  = 173
                               0.025

Dec 173 = Binary: 10101101

*******************************************************************************************************************
                                        160 MHz Duplex
Working freq. Rx: 158.5876 (Xtal: 67.3813) and Tx: 166.5876 (Xtal: 82.3813)

Note, with some xtal frequencies, you must use the number 6 instead of 5 as the last figure, to get even division numbers. In these cases you can adjust
the xtal oscillator för correct output frequency.

Dtx = 166.5876 - (82.3813 * 2) = 73
                         0.025

Dec 73 = Binary 1001001

Drx = 158.5876 - 21.4 - (67.3813 *2) = 97
                         0.025

Dec 97 = Binary 1100001

*******************************************************************************************************************
With FMO:

Working freq. Rx: 158.5876 (Xtal: 67.3813) and Tx: 166.5876 (Xtal: 71.5313)

Dtx = 166.5876 - 21.4 - (71.5313 * 2) = 85
                             0.025

Dec 85 = Binary  1010101

Drx = 158.5876 - 21.4 - (67.3813 * 2) = 97
                             0.025

Dec 97 = Binary 1100001

If it is a F600 Duplex radio, then the FMO oscillator is used to generate the duplex distance, ie the distance between the
transmitter and receiver frequency. The FMO contains a crystal and the frequency is usually indicated on the shini can.

With a Duplex radio, you only have to put in the RX-division number (Drx), in the example above 97, to create the duplex
frequencies.
